Our Colleagues at the Fextralife Team Launch a Dedicated Space for Mods

The modding landscape is increasingly more expansive or as in demand as it is today. Modders who built innovative systems for beloved games such as Skyrim and Baldur’s Gate III have landed significant positions in gaming. Complete titles were created leveraging prior work. A creator even discovered how to make Silksong a little easier.

Indeed, in this time, anything seems possible with a concept, technical expertise, and some determination. Hence, it’s understandable that an increasing number of companies is seeking to back that continuously expanding customization network, and that our friends from Fextralife are participating in the initiative. On Tuesday, the wiki site revealed it would broaden its services with FXMods, a “brand-new gaming mod platform created for users who desire a fast, complimentary, and unthrottled customizations to improve their beloved releases.

FXMods promises to be a cost-free service with no download speed throttling, no queue, and integration with the extensive Fextralife knowledge base, which aims to allow developers to achieve greater visibility as gamers encounter their mods alongside additional resources.

What is the vision for the initiative? I questioned Fextralife’s Matt Hook, who has been knee-deep in shepherding the expansion.

Our primary objective is genuinely aiming to focus on the community’s needs,” Hook states. “We want a excellent journey for those downloading mods to be able to obtain custom content swiftly and simply, and we want to recognize content developers and active users with credit and benefits.”
