A rabbi has shared the instant when a man tried to break into his Manchester house of worship during a fatal attack, saying "I witnessed malevolence, I observed hate".
The spiritual leader explained that he and congregation members secured the doors of the worship house as Jihad Al-Shamie was "body-charging the doors, hurling large plant pots, attempting anything he could to gain entry".
Praising the quick-thinking of those at the synagogue, he remarked: "I witnessed real bravery, I must admit, and people who rushed to aid other people rather than escaping. It was astonishing."
Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, both lost their lives after the individual struck people and assaulted a person on the day of the incident.

Rabbi Walker explained that the event occurred before the religious service was in underway, and afterwards there would have been hundreds of people in attendance.
He said: "Unless one gentleman in especial hadn't acted as promptly as he managed and locked the entrances locked, anyone can imagine what would have happened."
Recounting how the incident unfolded, he stated a group of worshippers maintained the gateways shut from the interior to ensure the attacker could not gain entry.
Later after the authorities reached the scene, the cleric said two additional persons inside the synagogue were injured.
One man was lost his life and a different individual wounded by law enforcement shots, local authorities has confirmed.
A statement from the department designated the man fatally shot by law enforcement as Mr Daulby.
Speaking to reporters, the cleric stated he would try his utmost to provide solace to the loved ones of those killed and the larger society.
"We feel apprehension but there is also backing", he remarked.
"I am convinced and trust that we can give confidence and faith. I am certain very strongly that we should not allow this to beat us".
The prime minister and bystanders have commended rabbi Walker and the safety personnel as "courageous people" for their actions.
When inquired if he saw himself as a courageous individual, he answered: "I'm not sure that is true".
However, a observer at the site stated the rabbi had remained serene during as he and fellow members directed the assembly to protection.
The relatives of the deceased has also offered praise to their "courageous person" who passed away during "the act of valor to rescue fellow human beings".
"The family is stunned by the devastating, abrupt death of such a wonderful modest individual" the statement continued, as the family requested for privacy to process their loss.
