During a defensive struggle this weekend, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 win over the winless New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early touchdown pass and specialist Wil Lutz kicked the late decisive three-pointer to secure the ugly win.

Dominant Performance Seals Game

Even with recording nine sacks against Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following giving up a two-point play in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets managed just 82 total net yards during the contest.

Nix, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that ended with Lutz's short kick with just over five minutes remaining.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Offense

Despite their dismal performance, the Jets maintained possession with a chance to drive for a potential winning score. However Fields was tackled on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it rather than calling on specialist Nick Folk for a difficult kick.

The Jets quarterback struggled throughout, completing just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets finished with minus-10 net yards passing, the fewest in any game since 1998.

"The aerial attack was completely absent," Glenn stated after the contest.
