As per his arrest warrant, Brown is alleged of seizing a pistol from a safety employee after a star fighting contest in May and shooting a couple of shots at a person he had fought with earlier. The reported target, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, told police that one of the bullets scraped his nape.
Eiglarsh asserted that Brown was only protecting himself from Nantambu.
“The actions he was forced to take were purely in self-protection against the alleged victim’s violent actions. Brown was targeted that evening and responded within his rightful right to protect himself,” Eiglarsh said.
Brown was not immediately apprehended because initially officers did not identify Nantambu as a target. It not until later in May that Nantambu delivered a detailed testimony about the event to police and named Brown as the gunman, the document states.
